Macaroni casserole - Makaronilaatikko

5-6 dl macaroni (makaroni)
400 g minced meat (jauheliha)
1 onion (sipuli)
1-2 tsp salt (suola)
1 tsp white / black pepper (valkopippuri / mustapippuri)
1 tsp ground paprika (you can leave this out too) (paprikajauhe)
2-3 eggs (kananmunat)
7 dl milk (maito)

1. Cook the macaroni following the instructions on the packet.
2. Sauté the diced onion and fry the minced meat before adding the seasoning.
3. Butter an oven dish and fill it up with the cooked macaroni and meat.
4. Beat the eggs with milk and add to the macaroni and meat in the oven dish.
5. Bake in the oven in 200 degrees for about one hour.
(Sprinkle some cheese on top of it for extra flavour if you like!)

TIPS! You can add pretty much anything to your casserole if you feel like spicing things up. For example, try spices: curry / chili, herbs: thyme / oregano or even mushrooms / bacon! If you feel lazy, you can just throw the macaroni in without boiling it first, but then you should add 1 litre of milk (instead of 7 dl) and mix it up a couple of times while in the oven!
